We’ll be happy to see you in our beautiful art nouveau mansion!
When we created our Behind the Scenes boutique hotel, we tried to preserve the historical look and traditions of this building. Since the end of the 19th century, performers and artists of tsarist Russia loved to relax here. Friendly gatherings with music, reading poetry and hot drinks were often arranged here. The noise and fun often subsided only in the morning. A gifted red-haired Polish actress Amelia Genda was one of the residents. After more than 100 years her great-granddaughter decided to restore this mansion and create a historical art space in memory of her great-grandmother.
Our team had to work hard to literally "recover from the ruins" and recreate the historical appearance of this small hotel. We hope you will be comfortable and amused here. To do this, weinvolved such eternal cultural values as cinema, theater, opera and ballet as the inspiration for the interior. We have arranged tasteful designer rooms for our guests. In the evenings you can enjoy jazz, variety of shows, performances of musical groups. In our boutique hotel you can immerse yourself in the behind the scene atmosphere, carefree atmosphere full of fun!
Another advantage is that the hotel is located in the historical center of the city of Peter I - in the very heart of Vasilievsky Island. The Menshikov Palace, the Rumyantsev Garden, the Ilya Repin St. Petersburg Academy of Arts, the Building of the Twelve Collegia, where the first university in Russia is located are literally a few steps away. The Library of the Russian Academy of Sciences, the Academy of Sciences itself, the Russian Ethnographic Museum and the building of the stock exchange on the arrow of Vasilievsky Island, which from above resembles Masonic symbols, are also located on Vasilievsky Island.
The Smolensk Orthodox cemetery, which has already become a historical monument, with the Chapel of Saint Blessed Xenia, will be of interest for the Orthodox guests of our city, as the place where many famous people were buried: Pushkin's Nanny Arina Rodionovna, Alexander Blok, and many other Russian poets and writers were among them.
See you BEHIND THE SCENES!!!
